2. Code
of conduct for volunteers :
i. A volunteer must work under the strict guidance
of the Programme officers
and Group Leaders :
ii. He/She must abide by the rules and discipline of the camp.
iii. He/She must respect other's point of view and make himself/herself
worthy of the confidence of the community where he/she is working.
iv. His/Her dress, diet and manner should be as simple as possible during
his/her work as a volunteer.
v. It is part of his/her duty to promote N.S.S. objectives by practice and
example in order to gain trust and cooperation of the local people.
Any deviation to the above on the part of a volunteer will be viewed
seriously and may lead to the termination of his/her voluntaries.
3. N.S.S. Units in this College there are three N.S.S. units in the
College having strength of 150 students. (Two boys unit one girl unit).
4. How to join in N.S.S. students who desire voluntarily to join N.S.S.
must apply in a plain paper, when a notice is served to this effect. Under
the normal activities, the N.S.S. volunteers are required to continue
their activities through the year in the College and in the adopted
village on Sundays and holidays. Under the special camp programme, the
students organise camps at different places during vacations and holidays.
Youth Red Cross
Membership is open to all students and members of the
staff. The Youth Red Cross is affiliate to the Red Cross Society of India.
A member of the staff shall be nominated as counsellor by the Principal.
The counsellor shall select a group of volunteers from among the students
who shall organise blood donation camps, first aid training , St. John
Ambulance training and shall motivate the students to render help to the
needy during natural calamities.
Rover and Ranger :
The senior branch of scout and guide has opened in this
college the Maharishi Rover and Ranger team since 1993.
The motto of these Rovers & Rangers is to serve the community of the
National by arranging a number of camps in the State level as well as in
the National Level.
The interested students to act as Rovers and Rangers, are advised to
contact the Officer-in-Charge of College Rover & Ranger.
National Cadet Corps (Air Wing) :

The Maharishi College of Natural Law has one unit of NCC
named N.C.C. (Air Wing) which was introduced in 1995.
Enrolment : Enrolment is open to all students who satisfy the following
eligibility conditions :
1. Students should have standard physical fitness.
2. They should have good knowledge in English, Hindi and Science.
3. Interest for discipline.
4. Minimum two years continuity in college. (preferably +2 1st year and +3
1st year students)
5. interested students may contact Fly. Lt. Chandra Adhikary, Lecturer in
Physics. |

Mode of selection :
1. The students have to face a preliminary Physical Test at
the college to be conducted by the NCC Officer.
2. After Physical Test they have to appear for a Written Test at the
Office of 1 (Orissa) Air Sqn. NCC, Bhubaneswar.
Training : Training in Air Wing is given of drill, gliding, flying
aeromodelling etc.
Advantages : NCC cadres with B-Certificate and C-certificates are
preferred in various sessions of Govt. like BSF, CRP, CISF, Fire Brigade,
Pilot Officer etc. For details the students are advised to contact Flying
Officer of Air Wing. |
